MAY 2009 UPDATE

NIGHT OWLS 7” OUT IN JUNE
Recording’s been done for a while and the tracks are off to the plant.  Still waiting on the tests presses to arrive, but preorder info should follow soon thereafter.  Three new songs, same kick ass sound as the demo. Fans of Swami Records stuff (DRIVE LIKE JEHU, HOT SNAKES, etc.) should take note: Awesome post-hardcore punk rock!  I expect this record to turn a lot of heads this year.  CD version out on HEX Records.

COMING SOON… OAK & BONE / LIKE WOLVES 7”
Coming off of a couple of 7”s EPs, two of Upstate NY’s best are coming together for a four song split 7”.  More news as it comes, but get stoked.  Both bands are hitting the road this summer, so check them out when you can!

DAGGERS RULE 7”…. OUT OF PRINT
Yep, I’m finally down to my last four copies.  I have one of each color and a release show version up in the webstore if anyone reading this is interested in being a completist.  Otherwise, say goodbye to BR #01!  Thanks to everyone that made the release possible (the band and Mike Tommyrot specifically) and to all the folks that picked up a copy!

NEW WEBSTORE
I spent an embarrassing amount of time in front of my computer creating a webstore and cataloging my distro.  Check it out!  Really low prices on 7” vinyl and CDs that I’m trying to clear out.  If you’d like to help me fund the OAK & BONE / LIKE WOLVES split, now would be a great time to buy some of my records!

CHOOSE DEATH #2
I’m in the midst of finishing up Issue No. 2 of CHOOSE DEATH, HC PUNK fanzine.  In this issue we’ve got a Dominican Republic scene report, interviews with Grant from NIGHT OWLS and Ben from LIKE WOLVES, and some more columns regarding the Upstate NY hardcore scene.  Should be out in June as well.  I still have a few copies of Issue One if anyone’s interested.  $2 ppd or interesting trades…
